Hello!! We are trying something different! I will be looking for original posts and comments as we continue our Literature Circles on the Medieval Ages.
Jacob ben Salomon and Petronella-
ReplyDeleteAs we can see in the story, Jacob was a Jew. Why do you think he was treated so badly?

What are some reasons that Lowdy hates fleas and why?
Petronella saw Jacob the Jew and picked up a stone which might indicate she would throw the stone at him. Why do you think Petronella didn't throw the stone despite doing it many times before? Explain your reasoning.

I think Petronella didn't throw the stone because she realized Jacob was a person.
ReplyDeleteIf I were Petronella I wouldn't throw the stone, however, in those times, if I didn't know any better I probably would have because that was what people did.
